Father Lemoyne Trying to Convert the Indians on Pathfinder Island
Fulton, New York

The Mural Father Lemoyne Onondaga Indians Birch Canoes Regional Geography

During the great Depression Franklin D. Roosevelt came up with programs to put Americans to work. One of the parts of this program was having artists paint murals on the walls of post offices in central N.Y. Caroline Rahland won a contest and was hired to paint the mural located in the Fulton N.Y. post office. This depicts Father LeMoyne converting the indians on Pathfinder Island.
