All My Sons Big Hit on Rfa Stage

By Joe Perry

The RFA Drama Club has done it again . . . and then some. On January 6-7, their production of All My Sons, written by Arthur Miller, directed By Sara Landau and student-directed by Elizabeth Salloum, took the stage and was an insant success. The set was well-desighed, thanks to the cratfmanship of Chirs Salisbury, Mike Bush, Todd Quick, and Joe Perry. It took audenices out of their seats and put them in the backyard of the Keller's the minute the curtain opened.

Todd William Quick, a junior and drama vet, performed the role of Joe Keller, a hard working man in his 60's who wants the best for his family. His slight limp, gray hair, and "decrepit" ( his own word) demeanor were the only the icing on the cake as he brought Miller's character off of the written page and made made him flesh and blood. Elise Williams portrayed his wife, Kate, who's cheerful one minute, and then "beating him with a belt" the next. Nick Bruder and Juila Dixon wonderfully brought to life Chris Keller and his love, Anne Deever. George Deever, along with his anger and intensity, was played by Joe Perry. Chris Stell and Tara Baker, who played Jim and Sue Bayliss, performed with such sarcasm, one might have assumed they were actually married! Frank and Lydia Lubey were portrayed by Joey Brognano and Andrea Fontana, who by the way, lit up the stage with the energy she brought to her part.

Ms. Landau has once again put together an amazing cast, and along with Ms. Salloum, has successfully brought to life one of Miller's greatest works.
