Gary R. Ford is a social studies teacher at Rome Free Academy in Rome, New York. Mr. Ford received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Social Studies from the State University of New York at Potsdam in 1972 and a Master of Arts degree in Education from SUNY Cortland in 1986. Mr. Ford has been in the Rome City School District since 1972, teaching at both the junior and senior high school levels. Currently, Mr. Ford teaches Advanced Placement United States History, Advanced Sociology, and World Wars of the 20th Century, which is the setting for the oral history project, Capturing Their Pasts.

Matthew R. Fidler has been a social studies teacher in the Rome City School District since 1974. Mr. Fidler received a Bachelor of Science degree in History, with certification for secondary education from the State University of New York at Brockport in 1974 and a Master of Arts degree in History from SUNY Cortland in 1991. Currently, Mr. Fidler is a teacher on special assignment, serving as Technology Mentor in the Rome City School District and as Educator in Residence of the Living SchoolBook at Syracuse University's School of Education. In those capacities Mr. Fidler works with a variety of initiatives for effective technology integration, including specific classroom projects, such as the Veterans' Oral History Project at Rome Free Academy.
