| On October 24, 1944 the light aircraft carrier USS Princeton was mortally wounded during the Battle for Leyte Gulf. John Robson was a 23year-old seaman who survived the explosions, fire, and long hours in shark-infested waters. Mr. Robson, now 80, has shared these and other memories with high school students in an Oral History Program. |
