The New Deal Art Project was developed and implemented in the classroom
by Matthew R. Fidler, of the Rome (NY)
City School District. Mr. Fidler has been a history teacher in the
Rome City School District since 1974, currently serving as Technology
Mentor in his district and as Educator-in-Residence with the Living
SchoolBook of Syracuse University. Mr. Fidler works with a variety
of initiatives for effective technology integration, including specific
classroom projects such as the New
Deal Art Project and Capturing
Their Pasts: A World War II Veterans' Oral History Project. Please

and are maintained by the Living SchoolBook.
The Living SchoolBook is a research and development group within the Teaching
and Leadership department of the School of Education at Syracuse University.
Founded on the belief that new technology can facilitate and inspire the
best work of teachers and students, the Living SchoolBook encourages and
enables the collaboration of educators, students, and professionals in
the development and implementation of technology-based projects, such
as the New Deal Art Project.
