Herkimer Home

The Herkimer Home is an example of English-American Georgian style architecture. Some have referred to it as Dutch Colonial in style with its gambral roof. This was considered to be a "brick mansion" in the 1770's, since most homes were one or, at the most, one and a half stories. This was a full two story house, with a kitchen area in the cellar.
