Dr. Hall, a researcher and ecosystems professor at SUNY ESF, Joined us here at the Living SchoolBook lab at Syracuse University to Video Conference with the eighth grade life science students studying biomes at Whitesboro Middle School. He answered their questions about biomes including desert, fresh water, marine, tropical rain forest, deciduous forest, and grasslands. The students were very excited to be able to talk to a college professor one on one. The Video Conference was displayed to a class of about 25 students.

After the Video Conference we discussed Dr. Hall's opinions of the event and the computer technology. He was enthusiastic about both. He told us that it was interesting hearing questions from eighth grade students after working predominantly with college sophmores and seniors. He told us that he would welcome the opportunity to Video Conference again.
