Local History

Eric Canal Image

The Local History theme allows students, teachers, and community members to explore the history of their local areas in ways that are meaningful to them. Often these explorations are essential to student learning; however, the information is only accessible through irreplaceable original documents that are not commonly available for public use. This theme allows for the exploration of regional history through a variety of sites created by the local people.
