Welcome!

The Syracuse City School District, and the Living SchoolBook (LSB) and Information Institute of Syracuse at Syracuse University have been working together as a part of NY State Education Department’s Virtual Learning Space grant to scale a suite of educational tools for a larger statewide audience. During the past five years, these web-based tools were developed collaboratively from the ideas of visionary teachers and university faculty members to enhance their own, and more importantly, their students' classroom learning experiences. They are dynamic content in action tools.

In the CORE-NY project funded through January 31, 2004, the LSB staff in collaboration with the Syracuse City School District’s curriculum coordinators and teams of teachers as co-developers, revised interfaces and provided content for these tools.

These tools have been selected because they are scalable for large numbers of statewide users and relevant to standards-based instruction. We invite you to select any of the links on this page and check them out.

Feel free to send comments about the site to core@lsb.syr.edu
